Vicky Kaushal’s latest film, *Bad Newz*, has achieved a major milestone by recording the biggest opening of his career. The romantic comedy, directed by Anand Tiwari and co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, opened with ₹8.50 crore at the Indian box office. This impressive start has surpassed the opening of his previous hit, *Uri: The Surgical Strike*.

Top grossers and career highlights

Uri: The Surgical Strike, a 2019 military drama directed by Aditya Dhar, had previously held the record for Vicky’s biggest opener, with ₹8.20 crore on its first day. The film, featuring Vicky as a soldier leading a surgical strike against Pakistan, was a major success.
